Specific directions to the Hostal Delvi in Madrid:

by taxi: ask for Plaza de Santa Ana

by metro: nearby stops are Antón Martin, Sol and Sevilla, all about 3-5
blocks from the Plaza.
>From Antón Martin: walk N one block from Calle de Atocha to Calle de las
Huertas. Walk west to Calle de Principe or Plaza del Angel. Walk N one
more block to the Plaza.
>From Sol: walk east on Carrera de San Jeónimo to Plaza de Canalejas. Walk
south from the Plaza along Calle de Principe to Plaza de Santa Ana.
>From Sevilla: walk west 1/2 block, turn south (I´m not sure the street
name) to Plaza de Canalejas (Carrera de San Jerónimo), continue south on
Calle de Principe to Plaza de Santa Ana.

The middle of the Plaza is under construction, and has an underground
parking lot, so it´s a bit of a mess. Just look for the (massive) Hotel
Reina Victoria. We´re immediately to the right of the Hotel in the NW
corner of the Plaza. There´s a discrete sign for Hostal Delvi. Check the
door before ringing up: it´s usually unlocked.

Inside, go to the back and up 3 flights of stairs (3rd floor in Europe
being 4th in Canada). If the lights are off, the switches to turn them
back on have little orange indicator lights. They´re on a timer, so you
needn´t worry about turning them off.

Knock at the Hostal Delvi´s door. I´ve given them your names, so you can
just say ¨Me llamo Paul (etc), amigo de Tom¨ or some such thing and that
should get you in with no trouble.
